If you're having trouble with ITVX on your phone or tablet, try these steps in the order listed.
Step 1: Close and Reload the ITVX App
Force closing the app can clear up minor temporary glitches and give it a fresh start.
Open your device's Recent Apps or App Switcher view.
Swipe the ITVX app preview away to close it completely.
Wait a few seconds, then reopen the app.
Step 2: Restart your device
Turn your device completely off and then back on again. Make sure it's fully powered down, not just in sleep or standby mode. This simple step can often fix a variety of temporary glitches.
Step 3: Check your internet connection
A strong and stable internet connection is essential for streaming.
On Wi-Fi: Try moving closer to your router or restarting it.
On Mobile Data (4G/5G): Make sure your data is turned on. If the network is congested, connecting to Wi-Fi should improve performance.
Step 4: Update the ITVX app
App updates often include important bug fixes.
Go to the Google Play Store (Android) or App Store (iPhone/iPad).
Search for ITVX and update the app if a new version is available.
Step 5: Reset the ITVX app
Resetting the app can often fix playback or performance issues by clearing saved settings without requiring a full reinstall. You will need to sign back in after completing this step.
On iPhone/iPad (iOS):
Open the ITVX app and tap the Profile icon in the upper right corner.
Select the cogwheel icon (Settings) in the upper right corner of the next screen.
Select Reset ITVX.
Tap 'Clear' to confirm and reset your ITVX Settings.
Once the app has reset, sign back in with your account details.
On Android:
Open the ITVX app and tap the three vertical dots in the upper right corner.
Select Settings.
Select Reset ITVX App.
Tap 'Reset' to confirm and reset ITVX.
Reopen the app and sign back in with your account details.
Step 6: Clear the app's cache and data
Clearing the cache can fix issues without affecting your account.
On Android: Go to Settings > Apps > ITVX > Storage & cache > Clear cache. If that doesn't work, try Clear storage.
On iPhone/iPad: You'll need to reinstall the app to clear the cache.
Step 7: Reinstall the ITVX app
If all else fails, reinstalling the app can fix any corrupted files.
Delete the ITVX app.
Restart your device.
Re-download the ITVX app from the App Store.
Sign back in to your account.
